After many a sleepless night, crying, panicking and crossing fingers, did I secure a place at Nottingham Trent University? (You'll know already if you follow me on twitter.)
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!
I felt so much relieve when I read the much anticipated words: 'Congratulations! Your place at Nottingham Trent University (N91) to study Fashion Communication & Promotion (WN2M) has been confirmed'
I visited two of the NTU open days last year, and I didn't even come across this course until I had some spare time between a Fashion Design and a Print Journalism induction. I was so dead set on becoming a fashion designer, even though I strongly dislike sewing and textiles was my worst subject throughout my A-Levels, but I've always enjoyed writing... and I found this masterpiece. This course covers everything you need to know about the more commercial side of fashion - the events, the promotion, the photography, the writing, etc. My only concern were the required UCAS points, all 300 of them. That's the equivalent of three Bs at A2, which I worried about as I had achieved BBCD at AS. Yet, when I rang my friend Ella yesterday, who picked my results up for me, I was surprised with an A in my additional Photography AS, and a B in Psychology, English Literature and Art. I honestly didn't expect a B in Art but I worked my butt off last year and sacrificed a large percentage of my social life to secure my place at uni, so hey, I'm proud.
Hope you all received the results you wanted and deserved!
xoxo
