superdrug dry shampoo

Hello again, a few blog posts ago I did say that you would see me talking about some make-up related things, so I'm gonna to start by re-viewing a beauty product - Superdrug's Own Dry Shampoo. I have previously heard Zoella mention it in one of her videos. At the time of her Haul video (I think it was anyway), she said that there was a 3-for-1 offer on them, so she basically got three bottles for £1.99, as that is there individual price. I wasn't quite so lucky, yet I still managed to get a 3-for-2 deal, as well as my NUS student discount, bringing the price down to about £3.60, if I remember correctly. The main reason I  bought this is that Zoella mentioned that she had hears that it was just as good as Batiste's Dry Shampoo, which I have been an avid user of, so I wanted to see for myself how it holds up. Batiste standard sized bottles are usually around £2.99 each, unless they are a special edition such as the 'XXL Volume' can, which I can remember being a little more pricey. As you can see, there isn't a huge price difference between Superdrug's Own and Batiste, however it seems rarer for Batiste to be on sale, and therefore I am glad that I have now stocked up on Superdrug's Own and have a supply that will last me at least a month... As I wear extensions, I try to keep my hair as dark as possible by avoiding washing it too often, hence my absolute addiction to dry shampoo. It is so simple and quick to use, which benefits me even more as I am super impatient and detest having to wait for my hair to dry, yet using a hair dryer leaves my hair fluffy and weird, which is why dry shampoo is a brilliant choice for me.
So far, I have found Superdrug's Own products to live up to their reputation. I purchased 'Heart on your sleeve', a girly, fresh scent with a hint of coconut, which reminds me of the smell of make-up wipes (in a good way!), as well as 'Head in the Clouds', a floral scent, which I can't describe in any other way than by saying it smells like limited edition purple WKD, which leaves me feeling a bit sick, and 'Chocolate Brownie', designed especially for brunette hair and my favourite from the line. Other than the interesting, yet very pleasant, scents of the products, they leave my hair oil-free and with a bit of volume and boost, which I really like as even straightened hair looks more lively with that added bit of va-va-voom! I particularly like 'Chocolate Brownie' as the powder inside the bottle is dark, rather than white, avoiding talky, dusty looking roots and is thus, an essential for all brunettes. In terms of aesthetics, the cans the dry shampoo comes in are young and fresh and interesting and each suits the scent of the product.
I wouldn't say that there is a mass different between Superdrug's Own and Batiste, which is nice, as now I can buy which ever one of the two makes I find to be cheaper at the time, depending on deals. I would totally pop down to your nearest Superdrug now though, whilst the 3-for-2 is on!
Happy dry-shampoo-ing :) xoxo
